Binus International Hosts Guest Lecture on Modern Web Interaction Design by Alumnus
Binus University International continued its commitment to bridging academic learning with industry-driven insights by hosting a guest lecture titled “Design Pattern for Effective User Interaction in Modern Web Application.” The session took place on Tuesday, November 25, 2025, from 09.00 to 11.00 AM at the Auditorium FX Campus, Room 602, and was organized by the Computer Science Program under the School of Computing and Creative Arts.
The lecture featured Jason Jeremy Wijadi (JJ), a distinguished Binusian alumnus from Batch 2024. JJ graduated Summa Cum Laude with a flawless GPA of 4.00, and is recognized as one of the top graduates of his cohort. He is also known for his achievement as a winner of the 2023 Google Solution Challenge, where his team developed a technology-driven solution addressing real-world community needs.
In this session, JJ delivered an in-depth exploration of design patterns and best practices for effective user interaction in modern web development. The talk was held as a mandatory learning component for students enrolled in the Human–Computer Interaction (HCI) courses, ensuring that participants gained essential knowledge grounded in both theory and real-world application.
Throughout the lecture, JJ discussed how thoughtful interface design, usability principles, and interaction patterns influence user experience. He also emphasized the importance of human-centered design, rapid prototyping, and testing web interfaces to ensure accessibility and seamless interaction. His industry experience and academic excellence provided students with actionable insights into the standards and expectations of modern software and interface design.
Students engaged actively in the session, raising questions about UI/UX workflows, front-end architecture, and the challenges of designing products that meet diverse user needs. JJ also shared career tips, personal experiences, and the mindset required to thrive in the fast-evolving world of digital product development.
This guest lecture reflects Binus International’s ongoing efforts to empower students with practical competencies and exposure to real-world design challenges. By bringing successful alumni back to share their expertise, the university reinforces its mission to cultivate future-ready professionals in computing, design, and creative technology.
