Kemenkes Goes to Campus: A Collaborative Event at BINUS University

On July 2, 2024, BINUS University had the distinct honor of hosting a significant event with the Indonesian Ministry of Health (Kemenkes RI). The esteemed Minister of Health, Ir. Budi Gunadi Sadikin, ChFC, CLU, alongside BINUS University Rector, Dr. Nelly, SKom., M.M., CSCA, visited the Binus University as part of the main event series titled “Kemenkes Goes to Campus,” which commenced on July 1, 2024, at the BINUS Anggrek Campus.

This impactful event aimed to recruit 8,607 young talents in an effort to foster a healthy society. This initiative aligns with the Ministry of Health’s vision to develop healthy, productive, independent, and equitable individuals, propelling Indonesia towards its goal of Indonesia Emas 2045.

During the event, BINUS University had the opportunity to present healthcare research projects to Minister Ir. Budi Gunadi Sadikin, ChFC, CLU. The showcased projects, “Numed AI – A New AI-Based Telemedicine System” and “AI-Based Image AI Powered Pediatric Tele Dermatology,” highlight the collaborative efforts between BINUS University, other universities, industries, hospitals, and research institutions.

The “Kemenkes Goes to Campus” event is designed to inspire the younger generation to take an active role in the healthcare sector and contribute to the achievement of Indonesia Emas 2045. This collaboration between the Ministry of Health and BINUS University marks a significant step towards building a nation that prioritizes health and equity. Through this event, BINUS University not only reinforced its commitment to excellence in education and research but also demonstrated the power of collaboration in driving forward the nation’s health initiatives. The presentations provided a glimpse into the innovative work being done at BINUS University and its potential impact on healthcare both nationally and globally.
