Industry 4.0 Timeline in Indonesia

Understanding how the past technological transition in Indonesia is very important to be able to visioning the future trends. A recent Industry 4.0 trends in period 2014-2019 for example is an important background to understand how the complexity of this transition is shaped and what factor that influencing this transition. This transition can be explained by multilevel perspective theory.

As a developing country, Indonesia adoption for Industry 4.0 is different compared to the technological transition in developed countries [1]. In Indonesia for example the source of technological innovation is not coming from inside of the country but more bring from another country. In Indonesia, the industry 4.0 as concept begin to popularize as early as 2015. This transition can be explained by several timelines which are technological timeline, business and market timeline and government timeline.
