On May 26, 2026, BINUS International hosted an engaging guest lecture featuring Mohammad Ikhsan, PhD, Co-Founder of the leading Indonesian ed-tech platform Pahamify and Assistant Professor of Biomedical Engineering at Universitas Indonesia. Held on-site at the BINUS fX Campus, the session provided students with a deep dive into the practical applications and foundational importance of Data Structures in modern technology.
As a successful startup founder and a dedicated academic, Dr. Ikhsan brought a unique, multifaceted perspective to the classroom. The lecture focused on how mastering Data Structures—the specialized formats for organizing, processing, and storing data—is critical for building efficient algorithms and scalable software. Drawing from his hands-on experience in scaling Pahamify and his academic research, he demonstrated to the students how these core computer science concepts translate into real-world problem-solving and entrepreneurial success.
The session was specially curated for the Computer Science students of Batch 2029. For these early-stage tech scholars, receiving insights directly from an industry leader who has successfully navigated both the tech startup ecosystem and the academic world provided invaluable inspiration. The lecture not only reinforced the theoretical principles they are learning in class but also highlighted the tangible impact efficient coding and data management can have on millions of users.
This event highlights BINUS International’s ongoing commitment to delivering an industry-relevant education. By continually connecting students with accomplished professionals and thought leaders like Dr. Ikhsan, the university ensures its graduates are not just academically proficient, but also practically equipped to innovate and lead in the global technology sector.
