Medan, Indonesia — SheCodes Society, in collaboration with BINUS University and supported by Indosat Ooredoo Hutchison through the Aivolusi 5 initiative, officially announced the successful implementation of the SheCodes Society Future Leaders Academy & Competition 2026, which took place from 22–24 April 2026 at BINUS @ Medan Campus, Delipark – Medan.
This three-day program was designed to empower young women and students by providing access to leadership development, technology education, and innovation-driven collaboration. The academy combined workshops, mentoring sessions, and competition-based activities to encourage participants to become future leaders in the digital era.
With the rapid growth of technology and Artificial Intelligence (AI), the program aimed to equip participants with relevant knowledge and practical skills that could support both academic and professional development. Participants engaged in several key learning sessions, including:
- Inclusive Leadership
- Artificial Intelligence (AI)
- Design Thinking Solution Challenge
The event also served as a collaborative platform where participants exchanged ideas, developed innovative solutions, and built meaningful connections with fellow students, mentors, and industry practitioners.
According to the organizing committee, the Future Leaders Academy & Competition reflected SheCodes Society’s commitment to encouraging greater participation of women in technology, innovation, and leadership sectors. By creating an inclusive learning environment, the initiative aimed to inspire more young women to confidently pursue opportunities in the digital and technology ecosystem.
In addition to workshops and leadership sessions, participants also took part in solution-based challenges designed to enhance creativity, teamwork, communication, and problem-solving abilities. The competition segment encouraged participants to apply design thinking methodologies in addressing real-world issues and developing impactful ideas for society.
The collaboration with BINUS University and support from Indosat Ooredoo Hutchison through the Aivolusi 5 initiative further strengthened the program’s mission to promote digital literacy and innovation among Indonesian youth, especially women.
