Manado, Indonesia — A workshop titled “Pengenalan Dasar Koding dan Kecerdasan Artifisial untuk Guru” was successfully held on 16 April 2026 in Manado in collaboration with Erlangga. The program was organized as part of an educational initiative to strengthen teachers’ understanding of digital technology, coding fundamentals, and Artificial Intelligence (AI) in the modern learning environment.

The workshop featured Raymond Bahana, Lecturer of Computer Science at BINUS International, as the keynote speaker. During the session, participants were introduced to the basic concepts of coding, the growing role of AI across industries, and the potential implementation of technology-driven approaches in educational activities.

The event was attended by educators from the Musyawarah Guru Mata Pelajaran (MGMP) se-Manado, bringing together teachers from various schools and subject areas in an interactive and collaborative learning environment. Participants actively engaged in discussions regarding digital transformation in education, the importance of technology literacy for educators, and practical ways to integrate technology into classroom learning.

Throughout the workshop, participants gained insights into how coding and AI can support creativity, problem-solving, and innovation in education. The session also emphasized the importance of preparing teachers and students for future technological developments by building strong digital competencies from an early stage.

According to the organizers, the workshop aimed to encourage educators to become more adaptive and confident in utilizing digital tools and emerging technologies within teaching and learning processes. As technology continues to evolve rapidly, teachers are expected to play an important role in guiding students to become digitally literate and future-ready learners.

Raymond Bahana also highlighted that understanding the fundamentals of coding and AI does not only benefit students pursuing technology-related fields, but also helps educators create more engaging, innovative, and relevant learning experiences across different subjects.

The collaboration with Erlangga reflects a shared commitment to supporting educational transformation and improving digital literacy among educators in Indonesia.
