BINUS International Partners with Rohto for Software Development Internship

February 06, 2025 – In an exciting new collaboration, BINUS International has partnered with Rohto to provide students with hands-on industry experience. This marks the first-ever partnership between BINUS International and Rohto, offering students a valuable opportunity to contribute to a real-world corporate environment.

As part of this initiative, three Computer Science students from the Batch of 2026—Michail Bryan Lie, Michael Bengawan, and Ostein Vittorio Vellim—have joined Rohto as software developers. Their primary role is to develop and enhance software solutions to support the company’s daily operations.

The collaboration officially commenced with a visit to Rohto on February 6, 2025. The students were warmly welcomed by the HR and IT teams of Rohto and had the opportunity to meet Mr. Budjan Pek, IT Manager at Rohto. This visit marked the beginning of their four-month internship, which will run from February to June 2025.

The project is being closely guided by Kelvin Wijaya from the Information Systems department, who serves as the Site Supervisor, while Feri Setiawan, a lecturer from the Computer Science program, is the Faculty Member (FM) Supervisor for the students.

Through this internship, students will gain first-hand experience working in a corporate IT environment, applying their knowledge to real-world challenges. This collaboration not only strengthens the industry-academia relationship but also empowers students to build essential skills that will benefit their future careers.

BINUS International is proud to support initiatives like these that bridge the gap between education and industry, fostering innovation and professional growth. This partnership with Rohto is a milestone that will hopefully lead to more future collaborations, providing students with more opportunities to engage with leading companies.
