Human Computer Interaction: Guest Lecturer

On November 18, 2024, BINUS International hosted a special guest lecture on Human-Computer Interaction (HCI), inviting two distinguished alumni, Kevin Herman Otnieliem and Jason Sianandar, to share their industry expertise and experiences. The event was held at the BINUS International JWC Campus and was well-attended by students eager to gain insights into the real-world applications of HCI.

Kevin Herman Otnieliem: A proud alumnus of BINUS, Kevin currently serves as a Quality Assurance Engineer at Traveloka, one of Indonesia’s leading technology companies. With hands-on experience in ensuring software quality and functionality, Kevin shared valuable insights into how HCI principles influence quality assurance processes, especially in the travel and technology sectors.

Jason Sianandar: Another accomplished alumnus, Jason is a Junior Software Developer at PT. Inovasi Otomasi Teknologi, a company specializing in innovative technology solutions. Jason discussed the role of HCI in software development, emphasizing the importance of designing user-friendly systems and creating meaningful interactions between users and technology.

The session was moderated by Mr. Ida Bagus Kertyayana Manuaba, S.T., Ph.D., a respected lecturer from the Computer Science Program at BINUS University International. Dr. Manuaba emphasized the critical role of HCI in shaping modern software development and how such guest lectures connect academic learning with industry practices.
