BINUS UNIVERSITY Ranks 2nd in Indonesia in the Times Higher Education World University Rankings 2025

Jakarta, October 9, 2024 – BINUS UNIVERSITY, as a world-class Indonesian higher education institution, expresses its gratitude for the recognition received from the Times Higher Education ranking institution. BINUS UNIVERSITY proudly announces its achievement in the Times Higher Education World University Rankings 2025. According to the report from THE World University Rankings 2025 website, BINUS UNIVERSITY successfully ranked between 1,201 and 1,500 globally and secured the second-best university position in Indonesia. This achievement demonstrates the university’s strong commitment to providing quality education and enhancing academic excellence.

Times Higher Education assessed more than 2,000 educational institutions across 115 countries worldwide. The evaluation process considered five key areas: Teaching (learning environment), Research Environment (volume, income, and reputation), Research Quality (citation impact, research strength, research excellence, and research influence), International Outlook (staff, students, and research), and Industry (income and patents). This solidifies BINUS UNIVERSITY as the second-best university in Indonesia within this ranking.

Responding to this recognition, Dr. Nelly, S.Kom., M.M., CSCA, the Rector, stated, “We are very grateful for the trust given by Times Higher Education. This recognition is an appreciation of BINUS UNIVERSITY’s efforts to deliver education according to the quality, standards, and assessments set by Times Higher Education,” she said.

“This also reinforces our commitment to providing a learning environment that prepares our students to face the global world and achieve BINUS UNIVERSITY’s quality targets, which is 2 out of 3 graduates working in global companies or becoming entrepreneurs,” she added.
