Collaboration Talks with Exeter University at Binus FX Senayan Campus

On June 24, 2024. Binus University International FX Senayan Campus had the pleasure of hosting a significant meeting with Rachel Jones, the Global Partnerships Lead from Exeter University. The meeting focused on exploring global potential partnerships and building research capabilities. Rachel Jones was accompanied by her colleague, Professor Stu Bearhop, the Associate Pro Vice Chancellor for Global Engagement for the Faculty of Environment, Science, and Economy.

Rachel Jones and Prof. Stu Bearshop met with representatives from Binus University’s School of Computing and Creative Arts to discuss potential opportunities for research partnerships and capacity building. The discussions aimed to identify synergies between Exeter University and Binus University, particularly in the fields of computing and creative arts, where collaborative research can drive innovation and academic excellence. They representing the Faculty of Environment, Science, and Economy, provided valuable insights into the various departments under his faculty. This Faculty encompasses ten departments: Computer Science; Earth and Environmental Sciences; Ecology and Conservation; Engineering; Geography; Maths & Stats; Physics and Astronomy; and the University of Exeter Business School. The Business School is a triple-accredited institution with three departments: Finance and Accounting; Management; and Economics.

The discussions at FX Senayan Campus marked the beginning of a promising partnership between Binus University and Exeter University. Both institutions are committed to fostering academic collaborations that can lead to groundbreaking research and innovative educational programs.
