Faculty member of Computer Science, Nunung Nurul Qomariyah, S.Kom., M.T.I., Ph.D., was invited by Malaysian Goverment to be a speaker at the UK Malaysia Artificial Intelligence (AI) Conference 2023 on 17-18 October 2023 in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.

She presented and discussed about Value-based & Ethical AI with Dr Anjali Mazumder from The Alan Turing Institute, David Lin from WISE AI, Prof Dr Mohd Basyaruddin Abdul Rahman from Universiti Putra Malaysia, Feng Tian from SenseTime and Tengku Azrul Tengku Azhar from Regulation Facilitation at Malaysia Digital Economy Corporation.

In this session discuss how AI can be developed and deployed within the AI Principles (ethical, accountable, transparent, trustworthy, protects and promotes human rights, including protecting privacy, and advances shared values). What are potential gaps in existing policy and regulatory and legal frameworks and the wider ecosystem in ensuring such adoption.
