CS students published their paper at MobiCONA 2012
Michael Sunur & Kenrick Tjandrean (both are Computer Science 2012 students) jointly published a paper at the 2nd Annual International Conference on Mobile Communications, Networking and Applications (MobiCONA 2012) in Singapore (June 18 – June 19, 2012 ). The title of their paper is “Reliability Implementation over Message Queue in the Internet of Things”.
The MobiCONA conference is dedicated to addressing the challenges in the areas of mobile computing and wireless and mobile networking. The conference serves as an active international forum in addressing networks, systems, algorithms, and applications that support the symbiosis of mobile computers and wireless networks. The conference covers on all issues in mobile computing and wireless and mobile networking at the physical layer, the link layer, the network layer and the application layer.
Abstract of the paper:
Social Networking has connected people anytime and anywhere. This has become possible because of the ubiquity of mobile devices from which users are able to control other devices, However, the heterogeneity of operating systems, hardware, and protocols has brought about the challenge of ensuring that these mobile devices could interoperate with other devices. Hence in this paper, we showed how message queue was used as a technique for the Internet of Things to interoperate. Additionally, we showed how a parser could be used as a reliability mechanism over our proposed system.
