Comm Space 2021 Day 2: Art and Photography Competition and Exhibition
The second program under the organization of Comm Space 2021 event is Art and Photography Competition and Exhibition.
This competition is open for schools and university students from all over Indonesia.
There were 54 participations since the registration was opened between 14 November and 15 December 2021.
The competition opens in two categories: Art and Photography. The participants can choose to compete in either category.
From the 54 participants, the competition narrowed down to 12 finalists with 6 participants for each category.
The 12 finalists competed again in the final stage on 17 December 2021 to present the story behind their artwork.
The final stage was delivered in a hybrid mode, combining online delivery via zoom and on-site presentation and exhibition in FX campus of Binus University International.
Shalomita Alessia Warganegara, a first-year student from Communication Binus International came out as the winner of art category. The runner up in this category was won by Maria Daniella Krisanto from University of Western Australia.
For the photography category, the winner is Monica Veralda representing Universitas Pelita Harapan while the runner up is Eko Ardiyanto, a student in Institute Seni Indonesia, Surakarta.
The winners and the runner ups from each category bring home a cash worth 1.000.000 rupiah and 500.000 rupiah respectively.
This competition is organized in line with the annual event called Comm Space. Comm Space is a student collaboration platform where they can share their knowledge and concerns and channel their creativity related to creative industry especially in the field of communication.
The event aims to train student to work in a real-life situation to practice their critical thinking, public speaking, teamwork, and networking skills.
This second edition is under the care of Communications Students from Batch 2024 who was assigned for the final project of Intercultural Communication course with Ms. Lily El Ferawati as the instructor.
