Tangerang – Everyone can be a developer regardless his or her field of study and Binus makes it possible for every Binusian to be a world class developer with a comprehensive training in Apple Academy @ Binus.
The Apple Developer Academy @ Binus is the Indonesia’s first collaborative educational platform initiated by the tech giant Apple in partnership with Binus which provides a cutting-edge learning method and environment for both students and lecturers to become world-class developers.
The academy offers a 20-day iOS Foundation training in Binus @ Alam Sutera campus and a 9-month comprehensive academy program in Green Office Park, Tangerang.
In the iOS Foundation, the students will learn about creating an iOS app through a Challenge-Based Learning (CBL) method while the iOS Academy trains students to create and develop an iOS app until it is ready in the AppStore.
Interestingly, the training programs are available for every student and lecturer from any study programs with or without experience of Apple’s Swift Programming Language.
From July 22nd to August 2nd, 2019, a group of 33 Binus lecturers joined the iOS Foundation to grasp experience with the CBL method of learning and iOS app development.
The 12th batch of the training is the first group consisting of learners from IT-based and non-IT-based study programs who managed to create a prototype of iOS apps in only 10 days, shorten than the usual 20 days of training.
A lecturer from Communication Program of Binus University International, Miss Lily El Ferawati, shares her experience of creating an iOS app with zero knowledge about coding.
“I find this training important for communication students especially for those who are keen on working in digital environment. Even though we have no knowledge and experience of coding, we can still contribute to the content development by doing research, collecting information, and putting it into ready-made content for the app,” said Miss Lily.
The Apple Developer Academy @ Binus welcomes application for cohort ’20 that will commence in February 2020. The application is open until September 20th, 2019 through this link.
