Entrepreneurship and Product by PULANG WEAR
A final group project submitted for Entrepreneurship for Fashion where students have to propose a business plan. Creating a brand from the scratch starting from marketing strategy, branding, to producing a real product ready for market consumption. PULANG WEAR – a leisurewear brand by Sabrina Suryaputri and Nur Amira Jasmine
Born and raised in Jakarta Indonesia, Arintha Vysistha pursued her hobby in drawing to then graduate with a Fashion Management major. She is the owner of an urban protective apparel brand called OJKIT and co-owns a fashion brand called AKSU. Arintha currently juggles between personal entrepreneurship ventures along with several freelance works such as graphic design, fashion design and styling. Apart from being a creative enthusiast, she also considers herself who enjoys problem solving ideas and exploring diverse technical skills. She highly believes in being open minded and is keen in paying attention to great details.
Her latest notable achievement include; AKSU participating at Paris Fashion Week Spring/Summer 2021, and OJKIT being awarded the Good Design Award 2019 from Japan and Good Design Indonesia Best 2019 from Indonesian Ministry of Trade.

FIKA JULIA is entrepreneur in fashion of graphics textile brand under hername, Fika Julia is also lectuter for fashion textiles, fashion graphics and promotion and fashion trend forecasting. she was graduated from Birmingham City University with Master of Arts Textile Design.
Q: WHAT is the word of “fashion” according to you?
A: Fashion is about how I express myself in clothing. Bold colors and heavy prints is my fav.
Q: WHO is your inspiration in fashion?
A: Amy winehouse and currently adore Min Ju Kim
Q: WHERE did you get your knowledge of fashion beside informal education?
A: Mostly from social media, I follow designers, brands, and trend forecaster’s account in instagram.
Q: WHEN did you dedice to become fashion lecturer?
A: After I graduate my master degree in 2014
Q: WHY do you want to be fashion lecturer?
A: Because I want to share my knowledge in Textile design for the fashion industries and also I want to keep the newest current trends or issues from students.
Q: WHOM do you pursue your passion for fashion?
A: My parents especially my belated father 😊 he was my number one supporter since i was a kid.
Q: HOW can you stay inspired?
A: By keep doing what i like, drawing and designing pattern/motifs.
Dr Alana James is a Senior Lecturer in Fashion at Northumbria University in Newcastle upon Tyne and is currently Programme Leader for MA Fashion Design. Within her role in the Design Department, she is also module tutor at The BINUS Northumbria School of Design (BNSD) in Jakarta, Indonesia, working closely with the Fashion and Fashion Management final year students. Aside from her teaching responsibilities, she is Director of Equality, Diversity and Inclusivity for Design and will lead the departmental application for the Athena Swan gender equality charter in 2022.
Alana’s research explores responsible innovation within the garment supply chain, promoting more sustainable processes in the manufacture and consumption of fashion products. Working with multiple stakeholders, her work aims to create a transparent and accountable value chain, towards a sustainable future for the fashion industry. Since the publication of her PhD in 2015, entitled Influencing Ethical Fashion Purchasing Behaviour, lines of inquiry have continued to explore the diverse approaches possible in the implementation of sustainable practices in the fashion industry. Examples include: utilising zero-waste pattern cutting methods to lead the creative design process, engaging fashion consumers in a transparent business model, how higher education contextualises sustainability as a key design tool and the challenges facing the adoption of circular principles in fashion.
