BIS would like to welcome a new collaboration with La Trobe University Australia in a form of dual awards.
The symbolic representation of this collaboration was marked by the presence of Pro Vice-Chancellor of La Trobe University, Prof. Amalia Di Iorio AM, and Associate Dean, School of Computing, Prof. Naveen Chilamkurti, who were warmly welcomed by the Director of BINUS @Senayan Campus, Drs. Andreas Chang, M.B.A., along with the leadership team of BINUS International on May 27th at BINUS @Senayan JWC campus. Also in attendance were the National President of the Indonesia Australia Business Council (IABC), Mr. George Iwan Marantika, and the Founder & Managing Director of Nurture Higher Education Group, Mr. Stephen Healy.
The academic collaboration between BINUS and La Trobe will undoubtedly further strengthen the quality of graduates in Computer Science and Business Information Systems, meeting the needs of the national and global industries. Supported by competency-based curricula enhanced by industry engagement and the experience of studying at two different campuses, BINUS and La Trobe, BINUS International graduates will gain international exposure that can serve as an added value and competitive advantage for them to compete in global companies or become entrepreneurs with a global mindset. As entrepreneurs, a global mindset is crucial to expanding business scale, which will significantly contribute to the Indonesian economy. Having an additional degree from an international university, in this case, La Trobe, also serves as an additional credential for graduates to compete in the global job market,β stated Drs.
