Our Prominent Events

From networking sessions to webinars and knowledge sharing, here are some of the most notable events of BINUS International university famous for their quality.

Webinar, Talk Show, and Virtual Chat

Each year, BINUS International hosts a webinar, talk show, and virtual chat covering a wide range of topics. From business during the pandemic, startup, until entrepreneurship, the speakers come from alumni working in prominent companies across the countries.

One of the latest events that were held was the Business Survival: Pandemic Edition talk show that was held in April. A total of 2 former students were invited to speak at the event, including Fadel Assegaf (BINUSIAN 2015), CEO of Diamond Weddings, and Dewi Marselina Achmad (BINUSIAN 2018), Research and Project Development Intern at the Center for Indonesian Policies. Mister Fadel Assegaf recounted his own experiences regarding his efforts to keep his firm afloat in the face of a pandemic outbreak.

There was also a webinar held with Indonesia’s prominent rising startup, TaniHub. TaniHub is a startup business that operates in the agricultural industry founded by Michael Jovan, a BINUS International alumnus from the Business Information Systems program. Jovan and his colleagues started this e-commerce venture to boost the well-being of Indonesian rural farmers.

Those are two examples of the webinar and virtual chat that BINUS International held in the hope of strengthening the bond of their alumni.

Alumni Gathering

Alumni gathering is another event held by BINUS International to ensure the bond of their alumni. The event is usually held intimately, in which teachers, students, and other guests are welcome to the event and share their memories of being a part of BINUS International.

In the past three years, there have been plenty of alumni gatherings held by BINUS International. One of which is an alumni meeting hosted in partnership with the Business Management and Marketing & International Business programs and the alumni relations department. At this gathering, former students and professors gathered to reminisce about their college days.

Networking Night

Because former students may provide their former pupils with a wealth of information, all educational institutions need to strengthen and preserve the relationship between students and alumni.

BINUS International prides itself in its vast networking, especially with prominent figures and people who excel in their fields. That is why networking night has become a priority for BINUS International, as it lets their current students connect with successful figures and learn real-life work experiences from them. Some examples are the networking night between the International Accounting and Finance (IAF) program and the Alumni & Accounting Student Club (ASC).

Those are some of the alumni activities held by BINUS International to maintain the bond of their alumni. They managed to keep and even increase their excellence in education, but they also ensured that the legacy is always passed down to the younger generations.
