Our Courses

To be awarded S-1 or a Bachelor degree, students must complete 146 Semester Credit Units (SCUs). These SCUs are divided into a number of courses consisting of Communication fundamental courses, University courses, Streaming courses, and Off-campus equivalent courses. These courses are distributed correspondingly in 8 semesters. We design the courses to be not just theoretically significant but also industrially relevant with more concentrate in hands-on practices and professional delivery through guest lectures and enrichment. As an international undergraduate program, Communications Program offers two types of degree: Single degree and Double degree. The distribution of the courses varies between the two degree programs.

COMMUNICATION SINGLE-DEGREE PROGRAM

Studying in Communications Program at Binus University International allows student to take a single degree where they complete the 4-year study fully in Binus University International. Upon completion of study, students will receive a Bachelor degree with award “S.I.Kom”. In line with the Binus 3+1 curriculum, the Single-degree students can still have international experience by joining Student Exchange and Immersion Program along with other Enrichment tracks.

Advantages of selecting Single Degree program

  • A single degree is a great option for those who want to take advantage of a combined option of our off-campus tracks and broaden their capabilities in a variety of areas (Study Abroad, Community Development, Entrepreneurship, Research, Internship)
  • A single degree without going abroad is beneficial for those who want to really deepen their connections within Jakarta, Indonesia and build a strong network
  • A single degree is interesting for those who want to choose the study abroad track and only go abroad for six months at a time, this is a more budget friendly option and yet offers the experience of having live in a foreign country

Currently, Northumbria University at Newcastle, United Kingdom, is the best of choice for the students to continue the double degree program. There are more university partners in coming years.

Advantages of selecting Double Degree program

  • A double degree is perfect for those who would like to go to the partner’s destination for a full year to really immerse into one country and its culture
  • The double degree is also great for whose interests are aligned with the strengths of the partner university and want to benefits from an international a national degree
