Jakarta, February 13, 2025 – Binus University is further solidifying its position as a pioneer in technology-based education by launching a new Communication Program under the name Creative Digital Communication (CDC). This is not merely a renaming of the program at Binus International Senayan Campus, but a major leap forward in communication education in the digital era.

Built on the foundations of creativity, strategy, and technology, CDC addresses the needs of an industry increasingly driven by data and digital communication. Graduates will not only master communication science but also become global digital innovators.

What is Creative Digital Communication?

CDC is a technology and data-driven communication program. In this new program, students will learn digital storytelling, Artificial Intelligence-based media analysis, and data-driven communication strategies.

CDC students are expected to master skills such as creating creative content, managing digital brands, and designing algorithm-based communication strategies. This opens up career opportunities in content creation, digital marketing, public relations, and new media businesses.

From Communication to CDC: What’s Different?

The transformation from the Communication Program to Creative Digital Communication (CDC) is not just a rebranding—it’s a total transformation in approach, curriculum, and competencies. CDC is a response to industry demands that are increasingly digital, interactive, and data-driven.

The key difference is the integration of digital technology into every aspect of learning. In the CDC Program, communication is combined with technology as the core of the teaching approach. Students will gain understanding of AI in media, big data, data visualization, and algorithm-based digital communication strategies, enabling them not only to craft communication messages but also to optimize their distribution using the latest technology.

In addition, CDC offers two specialized tracks, designed to align with current industry trends:

  • Entertainment Communication → Focused on visual storytelling, digital content production, event planning, and communication strategies for lifestyle, sports, and entertainment industries.
  • Strategic Communication → Enhances skills in corporate communication, crisis management, digital PR, and brand activation strategies in the age of social media.

At CDC, students don’t just learn theory—they work directly on digital industry projects, intern at global companies, and develop technology-driven campaigns. Courses such as UI/UX Design Writing, Visual Design and Narratives, Digital Content Production, Text Mining and Media Analysis, and New Media Business ensure graduates have both conceptual understanding and practical skills that can be immediately applied in the workplace.

Expanding Global Opportunities

Global opportunities are also wide open. CDC offers single and double degree programs with Queensland University of Technology (QUT) and Western Sydney University (WSU). This allows students to gain international experience, build a global professional network, and develop a broader communication perspective.

The Future of Communication Starts Now

This transformation is not just an academic shift—it’s a revolution. CDC prepares students to master the communication of the future—fast-paced, strategic, and technology-based.

For prospective students who want to be at the forefront of the digital industry, this is the time to join CDC and become part of the communication revolution in the new era.
