Indonesia Future Festival 2019 carries the theme “Towards Indonesia 2045” with the jargons, #CiptakanMasaDepanmuSekarang and #KitaHebat. By carrying this theme, Indonesia Future Festival 2019 is focusing on the millennial generation. People who took part in Indonesia Future Festival 2019 were mostly young people, such as the crew. As people could see at the event, almost all the members of the crew were millennials. The crew is trained to responsible and to coordinate the event.

One of the crew named Janet, a 24 years old girl who worked as the liaison officer for Indonesia Future Festival 2019, was interviewed. Janet stated that the first time she joined Indonesia Future Festival 2019 was when her friend took her to take part. After that, she read the details of the event and she was really excited knowing that many top speakers were invited. She was really sure that Indonesia Future Festival 2019 could improve her networking skills. She has joined lots of events previously, but has never feel as excited as this time. Even though she was excited about Indonesia Future Festival 2019, she also found a struggle during the event. “It was really tiring, some of us even got sick because we have more than 300 speakers to take care of but it was all worth it” Janet added.

Beside the crew, speakers who got invited to Indonesia Future Festival 2019 mostly were also millennials such as Faldo Maldini, Dipha Barus, Ariel Nayaka, Fatya Biya, Peter Shearer, and many more. One of millennial speakers who attracted most attention was Syed Saddiq. Syed Saddiq is the Minister of Youth and Sports Malaysia. Saddiq is  the youngest minister in Malaysia yet the youngest minister in the world; he is just 26 years old. Syed Saddiq did his speech on the last day of Indonesia Future Festival 2019, which was Sunday, March 31, 2019. During his speech, Saddiq shared his story on how he became the youngest minister in the world and his experience in revealing the biggest money laundering issue in Malaysia, the 1MDB scandal. Saddiq also told the audience that the millennials generation has a massive role to make a change for a country or even the world. Syed Saddiq has lots of fans in Indonesia since he is really inspiring the millennials and he has a charming face. The room was filled with audiences who were very excited for Saddiq’s speech. “The tickets absolutely sold the most on the third day because there was Syed Saddiq performing on the third day. He has lots of fans in Indonesia.” stated Janet.

However, at the end of the interview, Janet said that there are several things that did not meet the expectation. “The third day went very well, but for the first and the second day, we actually expected more people to come.” Janet hopes that the next Indonesia Future Festival’s team could learn from this year’s experience. “We hope that the next Indonesia Future Festival team will learn from this year’s experience by doing a better marketing and promotion and also doing a better preparation.” Janet added. Lastly, Janet is also having a hope for audiences who came to Indonesia Future Festival 2019. Janet said that she hopes after coming to Indonesia Future Festival 2019, people, especially the millennials can learn more from the speakers. Moreover, young people can be more productive to create their future and Indonesia’s future for the next forty-five years and forever.
