Sang Kala (The Time)
This sculpture is a courtesy of Tjipto Boedojo dance company, a traditional wayang orang performance group from the slope of Merapi mountain, Central Java. It was given to comm and film students after the 2011 live in program and film workshops for the local dancers and performers. It represents the giant Kala, who beat and eat fighting knights who waste their training time, reminding us to always be aware about the ticking clock and make the most of our time.
