An online information news website Screen Rant commented that amidst critics to the film, the performance of the cast is highly praised, especially Lady Gaga and Jared Leto. On the other hand, from the real Gucci family, Patrizia Gucci once mentioned in an interview that they were truly disappointed by the film, saying “They are stealing the identity of a family to make a profit, to increase the income of the Hollywood system”. She added that the central family issues raised in the film are lack of contact due to the inaccuracies in the book in which the movie is based. Fashion Designer and Film Director who is also an ex- Creative Director of the brand Gucci, Tom Ford, also agreed on the inaccuracies of the film. He noted that the personality of Paolo Gucci was inaccurate and certainly not like that crazy of character as portrayed by Jared Leto in the film.
