Live in Tasikmalaya (6 – 8th June, 2022)

The Fashion Program of BINUS Northumbria School of Design (BNSD) regularly holds the field trips program for the Fashion Design and Fashion Management students as a pilot project, to enhance classroom material and push it further as a real project. This will get them closer to the local heritage, provide knowledge and deeper understanding about the cultural products, and get them to appreciate the cultural and traditional values more.

Students will eventually learn to conduct research activity and field trip as the source of initial problem identification, initial ideas, and initial feeling of getting acquaintance with the local people. This trip provided the students with a precious opportunity to do research about Tasikmalaya’s rich culture, including its local craftsmanship, tenun, and batik.
