Eau de Fenty!
Fenty Beauty is indeed not a new name in the industry. Rihanna behind the brand started with the famous Foundation line to makeup line with a wide range of colours over 50 shades that work or all skin types and tones.— ‘so that people everywhere would be included’
After the bomb of the makeup line, she takes over the skincare world with Fenty Skin and on August 10 she comes up with a fragrance line, Fenty Eau de Parfum.
Rihanna has always had a keen interest to fragrance. Applying perfume would be a must before she goes on stage that eventually becomes her pre-performance rituals. She also has a habit of layering different scents to create a bespoke blend.
She added “My mom actually worked in the beauty-and-fragrance industry, so she’d always get a lot of samples and introduce me to the scents when she came home.”
As of now, the Brand launches only one signature Fenty scent with the aim to upend the traditional world of high-end perfumery.
The gender neutral scent was formulated with hints of Bulgarian rose absolute over magnolia and musk unite with tangerine and blueberry, creating a unique blend that expresses uniqueness and a one of a kind feeling for the wearer that is set to be a favourite amongst both men and women. It has both sweet and spicy notes designed to be worn by all people for all occasions. Fenty Eau de Parfum is best to be applied to the centre of the chest to allow the superfine mist radiates beautifully — as Rihanna would wear it.
Rihanna herself becomes the first Black women to make a luxury fragrance in the South of France, in Grasse to be specific. She had a real hand-on experience with Louis Vuitton’s master perfumer Jacques Cavallier-Belletrud creating the perfume with hints of her life; Barbados, New York, Los Angeles and Paris. Priced at $120, the 75ml eau de perfume is packed into an antique-inspired amber glass bottle. Fenty Eau de Parfum is highly exposed to the market with Rihanna’s own story and we can see this through the Brand’s campaign and tone of voice, its TikTok, Reels and basically in every communication channel. It includes the original audio of Rihanna to build up the mood and the Artist’s character.
“If I’m going to make a fragrance that represents me, even the body language of the bottle needs to marry that. So, I wanted something brown, but also transparent – so you could see the liquid and the fragrance you’re about to experience,” Rihanna added.
