The Gorontalo Trip (23-25 April 2019)

The Fashion Program of BINUS Northumbria School of Design (BNSD) regularly holds the field trips program for the Fashion Design and Fashion Management students in preparation for the Jakarta Fashion Week, as well as to get them closer to the local heritage, provide knowledge and deeper understanding about the cultural products, and get them to appreciate the cultural and traditional values more.

BNSD, supported by Bank Indonesia Gorontalo (@bi_gorontalo), held the field trip to Gorontalo, a province on Celebes Island that is famous for its history and culture – from 23-25 April 2019. This trip provided the students with a precious opportunity to do research about Gorontalo’s rich culture, including its local embroidery, Karawo.
