Outbound events are a good moment for the BINUSIAN 2017 to learn about respect!
“Please respect each other! Here you are away from your parents and the city’s hustle and bustle; here there’s you and your fellow students. Please, respect each other!” said President Student Commitee BINUS INTERNATIONAL, Raditya Pramana, at the Outbound BINUSIAN 2017, held by BINUS INTERNATIONAL at the Lido Lake Resort, Sukabumi, Jawa Barat.
The event which was held from September 16th to 17th 2013 was the main event of a series of welcoming events called Welcoming Days. The events were dedicated to BINUSIAN 2017 as a preparation for them before they started college.
The event’s participants that were made of 350 BINUSIAN 2017 and 50 members of the student committee were divided into 24 groups with 12 people in each group. The participants looked apprehensive. They had to be in a group with total strangers. But as the event went on, the sound of laughter from the participants could be heard ringing in Lido. The ice was breaking. They were blending in, creating a unit.
During the outbound events, BINUSIAN 2017 was asked to understand better about the meaning of true leadership and how every member of the group could work together with each other through interesting nature-related-games.
“This [outbound] event is the main event of the Wecoming Days and is trying to strengthen the bond between BINUSIAN, especially BINUSIAN 2017. They didn’t know each other at first but they became friends and respect each other. And not only that, this event is expected to develop the leadership quality in the participants. Therefore, we hope that in the future BINUSIAN 2017 can be wise leaders wherever they are,” concluded Raditya. (Karunia Fransiska)
