ALUMNI STORY: HANA MANUELA’S SUCCESS CONTRIBUTES TO SOCIETY THROUGH “DIBERI UNTUK MEMBERI”

Every student is expected to have a strong character that can help them survive in the world of work and society after graduation. One of the alumni from BINUS International who became a successful founder that contributed to society is Hana Hetty Manuela, the chairman of Diberi Untuk Memberi.

Contribute to Society through a Foundation

As an alumnae of BINUS International majoring in Communication, Hana has a goal to solve social problems in Indonesia. She started her journey when joining a student exchange program in America, which required her to volunteer at a local foundation. She also learned how an organization can solve social problems with a social-entrepreneurship approach. Since then, she has dreamed of building a community and now the dream has come true.

Hana Manuela became the founder and chairperson of Diberi Untuk Memberi. This foundation focuses on social communities engaged in education, MSMEs, and the environment. Established in 2016, Diberi Untuk Memberi also assists in natural disasters and does fundraising. During her journey, she has done several activities, such as a one-day project, a volunteer trip to Kupang, and has provided clean water and medical assistance. Now, she successfully works with more than 250 volunteers all over Indonesia.

Share, Inspire, and Empower Society

The purpose of Diberi Untuk Memberi is to share, inspire, and empower others. Hana wants all of the volunteers involved to carry out these goals in real life. Besides that, she wants to continue to play an active role and continue making sustainable programs and impacting the community. She also hopes this foundation, Diberi Untuk Memberi, can have more than 1,000 volunteers throughout Indonesia.
