Overseas Program successfully organized two simultaneous Guest Lecture (GL) sessions in collaboration with Macquarie University, providing students to gain international perspectives from distinguished academics.
The first session was conducted for students of Business Information Systems (BIS) at the FX Campus and featured Dr. Natalia Fernandes as the guest speaker. During the session, Dr. Fernandes explored the topic of Artificial Intelligence (AI), discussing its growing influence across industries and the opportunities and challenges it presents in today’s rapidly evolving digital landscape. Students actively engaged in discussions on emerging AI trends, practical applications, and the future role of technology in business and society.
At the same time, a second GL session was held for Business Management & Marketing (BMM) students at the Joseph Wibowo Center (JWC) Campus. The session was delivered by Prof. Patrick Garcia, who presented “The Conflict Toolkit: Five Styles and When to Use Them.” Through an interactive and insightful discussion, students learned about different approaches to conflict management and how to effectively apply each style in various professional and organizational settings. The session emphasized the importance of communication, adaptability, and leadership in resolving conflicts constructively.
Both sessions reflected the commitment of Overseas Program to provide students with meaningful international learning experiences. By connecting BINUS students with academics from Macquarie University, the program enabled participants to gain valuable global insights, broaden their perspectives, and strengthen competencies relevant to their future careers.
