BINUS INTERNATIONAL Launches New Student Lounge
Renewing and improving the campus building facilities is the responsibility of BINUS INTERNATIONAL in an effort to make the students more comfortable. Hence, on Friday, October 7th, 2016, BINUS INTERNATIONAL held a “Grand Launching of the Student Lounge at the JWC Campus”. This event officially recognized the new Student Lounge that is located at Basement 2 (B2), JWC Campus, Senayan.
The event was opened with a welcoming speech by Prof. Dr. Ir. Harjanto Prabowo, the Rector of BINUS UNIVERSITY, and Mr. Win Ce, S.Kom., M.M., the Director of Student Operations. In his welcoming speech, Mr. Win Ce expressed his hope that the students can utilize the facility well. “The walls were intentionally painted white, so that the students can show their creativity on the walls,” he said.
Two BINUS INTERNATIONAL students, Dira and Fania, said that they are glad to have the Student Lounge. According to them, this facility can support the students’ academic and non-academic activities.
“The lounge room is comfortable to be used as an organizational meeting place or as a place to study together with friends. Now we have a place to spend our time before and after class,” Dira explained.
The other student, Fania, added that the Student Lounge is fascinating. Besides being used as a place to relax, the students are also welcome to personalize the lounge with their creativity.
Aside from a table, comfortable seats, a whiteboard, and various books, the Student Lounge is also equipped with a billiards table, a leisure football table, and playing cards.
The launching event was closed with a music performance by the Voice of BINUS (VOB) and the BINUS INTERNATIONAL Music Society (BIMUS). (NDA)
