Building Minds Through Data

Shared-service infrastructure, cloud computing and big data are all changing the way we process, store, and use data. With the growing internet penetration in Indonesia, amounted to 88.1 million internet users by 2014 and growing, 4G LTE technology deployment, and the increasing amount of devices connected to the internet, these trends will generate far more information that will need to be stored, processed, managed, and analyzed in Indonesia. In this era full of data, data management and analytics will be one of the key drivers for success, not only for organizations and businesses, but also for Indonesia as a nation.

NetApp, the global market leader for data management and storage solutions, will undertake their first ever academic alliance partnership in Indonesia, with Binus International University. Together, NetApp and Binus International University aim to continue their ongoing commitment of empowering the nation by building the minds of future decision-makers through data.

With the Academic Alliance partnership, Binus International University will be including storage and data management teaching resources from NetApp Academic Alliance program into their Business Information Systems department. The new curriculum will be mandatory for the second and third year students, and will be started in the 2015 new academic year in September 2015.

The NetApp Academic Alliances program helps today’s information technology students learn the technologies, terminology, and skills needed to manage massive amounts of data—whether on premises or in the cloud.

To commemorate the partnership, there will be an MoU signing ceremony held in Binus JWC Campus, with details as follows:

Date: 21 September 2015
Time: 1 pm – 3 pm
Place: Main Lobby, JWC Campus
