“Accreditation means there is a certain standard. We couldn’t claim ourselves that we have international quality. Therefore, we must have clear benchmarks, and one of them of course, international accreditation,” Tatum Syarifah Adiningrum, the Head of Learning & Faculty Development BINUS UNIVERSITY INTERNATIONAL (BI) explained.

In a university’s quality achievement, accreditation is the only proof of recognition for the quality of a university. As quoted from Kompas.com, BI was the real form of BINUS UNIVERSITY for realizing its vision as “A world class university”. According to Stephanus Remond Waworuntu, the Dean of Faculty of Business BI, to realize that vision, the achievement they should get was the acknowledgment from international accreditation which reflected BINUS UNIVERSITY had the same level as other universities in the world.

The accreditation from European Foundation of Management Development (EFMD) proves that BINUS UNIVERSITY INTERNATIONAL has similar qualities to other international universities in the world. Moreover, that acknowledgement also testifies the vision of BINUS UNIVERSITY has moved one step ahead and is ready to stand equal with well-known universities in the world. (LN)
