BINUS INTERNATIONAL’s students are very different with students from other universities; they keep on asking for interviews to be done in English
At the 2013 JOY MODEL SEARCH event, held in the main lobby of BINUS INTERNATIONAL on Thursday, September 26th 2013, JOY Magazine’s Public Relations and Marketing Manager, Dian, said that BINUS INTERNATIONAL’s students were really different to other university students since they kept asking for interviews to be done in English. The event was held by JOY Magazine in collaboration with L’Occitane.
The event on Thursday was the highlight of the series, which started on September 24th and ended on September 26th 2013. Hosted by a member of JOY Magazine, Yoyo, the event aimed to find models with fresh looks who have yet to join an agency.
BINUS INTERNATIONAL was the final university visited in the 2013 JOY MODEL SEARCH, after UNIKA ATMAJAYA and the London School of Public Relations.
“We’re looking for five finalists from each university and all fifteen finalists will go through our selection process and in December there will be three winners,” explained Dian.
When asked about the decision to choose BINUS INTERNATIONAL as one of the venues for the 2013 JOY MODEL SEARCH, Dian explained that based on quality, BINUS INTERNATIONAL is included in the A segment, which is JOY Magazine’s target. Besides that, judging by physical appearance, BINUS INTERNATIONAL’s students are known for being fashionable and beautiful.
Dian added that the 2013 JOY MODEL SEARCH was not just looking for beautiful models, but they also had to possess inner beauty. In order to fit the name and image of the magazine, JOY Magazine is looking for models who are full of JOY. It is expected that the three finalists will be those who fulfil the teen magazine’s motto: trendy, sexy and stylish.
“BINUS INTERNATIONAL’s students are very different from students from other universities; they keep on asking for interviews to be done in English and that’s a plus point for us. Because English is important. That’s the reason why we think BINUS INTERNATIONAL’s students are ready to go public,” explained Dian at the end of the interview with INNOVATION.
