The school gathers together media scholars and practitioners from the best schools\u00a0around the world and the most ambitious students,and together we are creating innovative academia for\u00a0media teaching, research and practice.\u00a0We emphasize ourselves in journalism, advertising, public relations, film production and film studies. While the curriculum is designed to let students exploring basic knowledge, theories, and methods in media studies and practice, the learning path of each student caters their own interest and creative insights. Therefore, we expect independent students with specific media career plans for their future, whether it is creative, academics, or industrial.<\/p>\n<p>As other programs in Binus International, we use English for class teaching. Beside the indisputable global atmosphere, the other important feature that enables us to get the best lecturers is our location. With a campus just around the corner of Jakarta\u2019s financial and commercial district, it is simply easier for top notch professional to share their knowledge and experiences. Alongside industrial committed faculties we have the privilege of guest lectures and workshops given by award winning filmmakers, media CEOs, and other mass media figures, all in weekly basis.<\/p>\n<p>We\u00a0emphasize\u00a0high quality teaching and learning, thus we take teaching evaluation seriously. Curriculum\u00a0and syllabus\u00a0are under review every 2 years. Beside knowledge and hard skills, we believe in building soft skills, and we want to make sure that students have required professional attitudes: respect, eagerness, excitement, ethics, etc. Classes are small, ensuring good chemistry between fellow students and the lecturers.<\/p>\n<p>The school has competitive and demanding programs, but overall the people have a quite healthy mix of study, party and adventure. Studying should be fun and we cannot afford to limit ourselves to learn only from books. All the programs require plenty of practical workshops and the school provides plenty of field trips. We believe in heavy discussions after class.
