EPSO Talk 2 – Education in Japan: A Talk by Momoko Takai

EPSO Speaker Talk 2 on August 23, 2023, by Momoko Takai, a lecturer of the Japanese Department. She shared about education in Japan, the discipline of Japanese children, and society in Japan.

In her talk, she discussed the features and challenges of the Japanese education system, from early childhood to higher education. In addition, she also talked about the cultural values and practices that shape the behavior and attitudes of Japanese children and the social issues and trends that affect Japanese society. She also compared and contrasted the Japanese model with other countries and regions and offered some insights and recommendations for improving the quality and equity of education in Japan.
