The 2025 National Essay Writing and Public Speaking Competition reached its inspiring conclusion on September 26, 2025, at BINUS @Senayan, fX Mall, Jakarta. Organized by the Language Center in collaboration with the Creative Digital Communication program, the final round bro

ught together the brightest young voices from across Indonesia.

The journey began with 40 essay submissions from students coming from diverse cities in Indonesia. Each essay reflected creativity, critical thinking, and the courage to address meaningful issues on the theme of “Imagining the Future: Build identities. Foster change. Transform lives”. After a rigorous selection process, 10 finalists were chosen to present their essays in a public speaking format, transforming written words into powerful spoken narratives.

In the final round, the atmosphere was charged with anticipation as each finalist took the stage. Their presentations showcased not only intellectual depth but also the ability to connect with an audience—an essential skill in today’s world.

After careful deliberation, the judges announced the results:

  • 3 winners were selected for their outstanding combination of writing excellence and public speaking prowess. Those three winners were:
    • The first place: Michelle Davina Hadipranoto – Life Community School
    • The second place: Kent Marcio Purnawijaya – Tunas Muda School
    • The third place: Earlene Brianne Engracia – SMAK St. Louis 1 Surabaya
  • 1 special award was presented to a finalist whose performance demonstrated unique creativity and impact, standing out in a remarkable way. The special award was given to Kisyha Ryviera from SMA Cinta Kasih Tzu Chi.

This event was more than a contest—it was a celebration of young talent, resilience, and the power of communication. By blending essay writing with public speaking, the competition nurtures students who can think critically, write persuasively, and speak confidently.
