On June 14, 2024, the Language Center (LC) of BINUS @Senayan hosted its regular interclass competition for all Academic English classes. This semester’s highlight was the engaging Interclass Presentation, with students from AE 1 and AE 2 demonstrating their skills in informative/expository and argumentative/persuasive presentations, respectively.

The event saw participation from 15 enthusiastic students, with a majority of 11 from AE 1 and a close-knit group of 4 from AE 2. The AE 1 students presented informative topics that ranged from the essentials of a healthy diet to the nuances of attention and the broad contemplations of life.

On the flip side, AE 2 students embraced the art of persuasion, tackling topics that sparked debate and reflection. They presented compelling arguments on why audiences should venture beyond their cinematic comfort zones to embrace foreign films, and they engaged in the timeless debate of canine versus feline companionship, arguing why dogs may hold the title of ‘man’s best friend’ over cats.

The Interclass Presentation served as a testament to the students’ hard work and dedication, reflecting the high standards of academic excellence that LC BINUS @Senayan strives to cultivate. It was a competition and a celebration of learning, critical thinking, and effective communication skills that are pivotal in today’s global landscape.

The event concluded with a sense of accomplishment. LC BINUS @Senayan remains committed to providing engaging opportunities for student growth. We look forward to more such events when students will once again gather to exchange ideas, challenge perceptions, and grow through the SPIRIT academic community that BINUS University proudly nurtures.

Once again, congratulations to all the participants and winners for their outstanding performances!
