BIS student year 2016 and 2018 – accompanied by Mr. Antonius Kurniawan went to visit Singapore \u00a0NetApp, Google and Global Knowledge.<\/p>\n

Day 1 – Wall Climbing and Team Building<\/p>\n

BIS student year 2016 and 2018 – accompanied by Mr. Antonius Kurniawan went to visit Singapore \u00a0NetApp, Google and Global Knowledge.\u00a0Day 1, as soon as we arrived in Singapore, we went\u00a0for our first activity\u00a0which\u00a0was rock climbing in the Grand Central. We enjoyed activities such as\u00a0rock climbing and team building as well<\/p>\n

Day 2 – NetApp + Google<\/p>\n

Day 2, we started it at\u00a0the NetApp office. After having an introductory session\u00a0on NetApp culture and the working environment in Singapore, as well we had latest technology update from NetApp.<\/p>\n

Within\u00a0this session, the students had real experience in visiting NetApp Data Center. They as well had a competition session around\u00a0NetApp technology and its implementation in the real world.<\/p>\n

After the Technology session, we had\u00a0lunch at the NetApp office lounge. Lucky for us, we met the Vice President & Managing Director of NetApp East Asia Mr. Krishna Arani. We had\u00a0chance for a meet and greet session, as well as an informal Q&A session after lunch.<\/p>\n

In Google we had a chance to see their office, and a very exiting and unorthodox working culture. They have snacks and food in almost every room, games room, vending machines, and even cozy beds.<\/p>\n

This was\u00a0not in a hotel or some buffet restaurant, Google has\u00a0a lot of cafeteria almost in every floor, they try to create a lot of free working space to foster the innovation, so not only using one office area but the employee can work across the public space and can collaborate with other peers in the entire Google office area.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

Day 3 – The Case Solving<\/p>\n

Global Knowledge, Singapore<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

In Day 3, we get some chance to go to Global Knowledge and get the multi device integration hardware from various vendor, and we also get some chance to go to Global Knowledge Data Center and try some hot-swap feature in their Data Center. We also meet with Mr. Eric Tay, Vice-President of Global Knowledge and he give us some welcoming speech about the trend in cloud technology.<\/p>\n

Mr. Khor Hee Soo, CTO of Global Knowledge accompanied and gave us some tour to their data center and technology update in the are of Cloud System and Data Fabric implementation<\/p>\n

After Global Knowledge office, we went\u00a0back to NetApp and had another Technology update from FastLane consulting while did\u00a0some case solving activities. The\u00a0students were act as consultants of the cutting edge technology, and they were requested\u00a0to create solutions based on some Cloud Technology advancements.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

Closing Session<\/p>\n

In the final session, we had\u00a0a closing ceremony and MVP awarding event, two of our students awarded as MVP in this session.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

After we enjoyed the technology update, at the final day we went to USS and enjoy our free and easy time\u00a0before went\u00a0back to Jakarta.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
