Little research has been done to examine the effect of cryptocurrency to financial market. A recent publication by a group of researchers from Tokyo International University and Bina Nusantara University investigated cryptocurrencies financial contagion in the Asian financial market. They used a sample of five cryptocurrencies and thirteen Asian financial markets. To measure the contagion, three methods were used. The research results suggest that cryptocurrencies do not possess a systemic risk to the Asian financial markets. This research is published in Research in International Business and Finance, volume 50.
