South Tangerang, Indonesia \u2014 May 30, 2026<\/strong> \u2014 Youth-led initiative ReBloom successfully held its Eco Read English<\/strong> program in Kampung Mantul Dadap Timur, BSD, South Tangerang, combining English language learning with environmental education for local children, families, and community members.<\/p>\n

The program welcomed 25 participants, ranging from kindergarten to junior high school students, along with several adult participants. Through interactive English speaking, storytelling, and conversation activities, participants were encouraged to build confidence in using English in a fun and supportive environment.<\/p>\n

In addition to language learning, the program introduced practical environmental education, particularly on waste sorting, recycling awareness, and simple sustainability practices. Participants also contributed non-organic waste as part of the learning activity, helping connect classroom-style learning with real community action.<\/p>\n

The event was facilitated by 14 youth volunteers and 10 supporting helpers. Four English-speaking helpers from the United States also joined the program as conversation partners, supporting English practice while encouraging cultural exchange among participants.<\/p>\n

ReBloom is chaired by Marsha Safira Noor Idara<\/strong>, 15, with program coordination by Arina Kamila Nadhira<\/strong>. Academic support was provided by Ikhsan Modjo, Ph.D.<\/strong>, Faculty Member at BINUS University. The program was also supported by BINUS University<\/strong> and Bank Sampah Jaya Danakirti<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Marsha, who has been involved in environmental volunteering since elementary school through Bank Sampah Jaya Danakirti, said the program reflects ReBloom\u2019s mission to connect education, environmental awareness, and youth-led community service.<\/p>\n
