BINUS Finance International First-Year Student<\/em><\/p>\n

As part of BINUS International\u2019s commitment to career readiness and professional exposure, students recently had the opportunity to visit the Jakarta office of PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC)<\/strong>, one of the world\u2019s leading professional services firms and a member of the “Big Four” alongside Deloitte, EY, and KPMG.<\/p>\n

Discovering PwC Beyond the Textbooks<\/h3>\n

For many students, including myself, this was our first close-up look at how a global firm like PwC operates. While I had some familiarity with the company by name, the site visit offered a much deeper understanding of its values, operations, and impact across industries\u2014from risk consulting to financial auditing and beyond.<\/p>\n

What impressed me the most was how PwC emphasized collaboration and togetherness in executing projects. The visit allowed me to see how these values are translated into real-life teamwork and career development opportunities.<\/p>\n

Influencing My Career Aspirations<\/h3>\n

The session introduced us to the wide range of career paths within PwC: assurance, consulting, tax advisory, and internal audit, among others. As a Finance student, I found assurance and consulting particularly aligned with what I\u2019m learning at university. It gave me clarity and excitement about the options I can consider going forward.<\/p>\n

Meeting Our Alumni at PwC<\/h3>\n

A highlight of the day was hearing from Vanessa, April, and Ignatius<\/strong>, all alumni of BINUS International now thriving at PwC. Their candid sharing\u2014from transitioning out of university to adjusting to a professional environment\u2014was deeply reassuring and insightful.<\/p>\n

April, one of the newest team members at PwC, shared how she quickly learned the importance of adaptability and teamwork. She emphasized that success at PwC (or any professional setting) is less about knowing everything from the start and more about being open to continuous learning and collaboration.<\/p>\n

Vanessa and Ignatius also echoed similar sentiments, noting how project teams constantly rotate and challenge them to grow in diverse environments.<\/p>\n

What This Means for Us at BINUS<\/h3>\n

One thing all alumni agreed on was how BINUS provided a strong foundation<\/strong>, but it was up to them to build on it through hard work and adaptability. Their stories reminded us that stepping into the professional world might be intimidating\u2014but also incredibly rewarding when approached with the right mindset.<\/p>\n

Final Reflection<\/h3>\n

This visit was more than just a corporate tour\u2014it was a window into our future. It helped me see that working in a big firm like PwC is achievable, provided we stay curious, committed, and collaborative.
