This could be due to the different perspectives between authors and journal reviewers of what constitutes a good article. Therefore, our program conducted a webinar and research clinic session entitled \u201cWhy Do Papers Get Rejected, and How to Improve the Likelihood of Acceptance?\u201d, which was held on Wednesday, 14 July 2021, via Zoom. The speaker of this event was Professor Jo Danbolt, PhD., who is the Baillie Gifford Chair in Financial Markets and Head of Accounting &amp; Finance Group, University of Edinburgh Business School, as well as a distinguished international journal reviewer. This event was moderated by Rosaline Tandiono, PhD., one of our subject content coordinators.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">Some of the discussion points during the webinar were:<\/p>\n<ul style=\"text-align: justify\">\n<li>Research questions and contributions<\/li>\n<li>Research design<\/li>\n<li>Style and writing<\/li>\n<li>The front end<\/li>\n<li>Selecting target journal<\/li>\n<li>Read and reflect on reviews<\/li>\n<li>Revise and resubmit<\/li>\n<li>Response letter<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">In the second session, Prof. Danbolt conducted a research clinic\/ workshop on a sample paper, where he gave comments on how to improve the paper.
