This talk show discussed the 9 sectors to be reopened to rescue Indonesia\u2019s economy in the midst of Covid-19 pandemic. The 9 sectors consist of:<\/p>\n<ol style=\"text-align: justify\">\n<li>Mining<\/li>\n<li>Oil<\/li>\n<li>Industry<\/li>\n<li>Construction<\/li>\n<li>Plantation<\/li>\n<li>Agriculture<\/li>\n<li>Farming and fishery<\/li>\n<li>Logistic<\/li>\n<li>Goods transportation<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-1280\" src=\"http:\/\/international.binus.ac.id\/finance\/files\/2020\/06\/pict-4.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"726\" height=\"408\" srcset=\"https:\/\/international.binus.ac.id\/finance\/files\/2020\/06\/pict-4.png 726w, https:\/\/international.binus.ac.id\/finance\/files\/2020\/06\/pict-4-640x360.png 640w, https:\/\/international.binus.ac.id\/finance\/files\/2020\/06\/pict-4-480x270.png 480w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 726px) 100vw, 726px\" \/><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">Key points discussed during the talk show are:<\/p>\n<ul style=\"text-align: justify\">\n<li>Some of the above sectors contribute significantly to the nation\u2019s GDP and employment. The economy is hit badly by Covid-19. It appears that it is time to start the new normal and to reopen the economy for the benefit of the society.<\/li>\n<li>Essential factors during new normal:\n<ul>\n<li>Health protocol<\/li>\n<li>Discipline of the society<\/li>\n<li>Coordination between central and local governments with regards to socialization, communication, and implementation of rules or policy<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>New normal needs to be carefully implemented, as recovery process takes time.<\/li>\n<li>The 9 sectors should be classified into 3 risk categories (high, medium, low), depending on some characteristics, such as indoor\/ outdoor location, crowded level, etc. Different category should be treated differently as there is no one-size-fits-all strategy. For high risk sectors, such as industry, they should have more stringent protocols put in place. Several sectors that are hit the most by Covid-19, such as tourism, should receive most attention and support by the government.<\/li>\n<li>In Indonesia, apparently all the provinces experienced some forms of social restrictions, although only several of them are formally in such state. This conclusion is based on Google mobility report which showed a declining trend in mobility during March, April, and May 2020.
