Prof. Joseph J. French Visits BINUS University JWC Campus

On Friday, May 3rd, 2024, the Joseph Wibowo Center (JWC) at BINUS University welcomed a distinguished guest: Prof. Joseph J. French, a Full-time Associate Professor specializing in International Finance, Corporate Finance, and Developmental Economics at the Asian Institute of Technology (AIT). The purpose of his visit was to explore potential collaboration between BINUS and AIT in the realms of teaching, learning, and research.

During his visit, Prof. French engaged in discussions with faculty members, administrators, and students. The specific department from BINUS involved in these discussions was the School of Accounting, represented by a number of scholars headed by Dr. Rindang Widuri, who serves as the Head of the Department of Master in Accounting. The following areas of cooperation were explored:

  1. Curriculum Enhancement: Prof. French shared insights from AIT’s curriculum, emphasizing interdisciplinary approaches and practical applications. BINUS faculty members reciprocated by discussing innovative teaching methods and industry-relevant content.
