Focus Group Discussion – Financial Literacy for Startups

On 23 March 2022, our program conducted a focus group discussion (FGD) on the topic of financial literacy for startups as part as our initiative to develop online courses that provide basic to moderate financial literacy to startup founders. We invited several representatives from venture capital firms to share their thoughts on several points, such as:

  1. The type of financial literacy needed for startup owners
  2. Factors affecting their decision to invest in startup businesses
  3. The approach(es) that they use to value startup businesses
  4. Common financial pitfalls often experienced by startup businesses

We also shared our courses plan and asked for their feedback to improve the content of our courses.
