A Series of FYP Events: Academic Experience and Sharing Sessions

The last week of FYP (first year programs) sessions was filled with a series of events to prepare our new freshmen in entering their university life. During this week, we organised the following sessions:

20-21 September 2021 – Principles of Accounting, delivered by Rosaline Tandiono, PhD.
21 September 2021 – Introduction to Microeconomics, delivered by Ikhsan Modjo, PhD.
22 September 2021 – Introduction to Time Value of Money, delivered by Amelia Limijaya, M.Acc.Fin.

The 21-22 September 2021 sessions were delivered onsite by the lecturers. Some students attended these sessions onsite, while some opted to attend it online. This academic experience allows students to have a taste of hybrid learning, which will be implemented in the odd semester 2021/2022, starting next week on 27 September 2021.

In addition to these academic experience classes, there were also two sharing sessions:

23 September 2021 – Talkshow with Alumni & Seniors. We were very pleased to welcome one of our alumni, Arfian Saputra Siregar, who currently is an assistant manager at Bank Indonesia, along with our two senior students, Aurelia and Nicholas, to share some of their experience to the freshmen. Some of the discussed topics in this session were the reasons of choosing our program, tips and tricks of navigating a life as a university student, and the reasons for choosing a particular track.
24 September 2021 – Make the Most of Your University Experience. In this session, the president and members of ASC (Accounting Student Club) stated the importance of getting involved in various organisations and activities during their study and shared their experience in managing time.
