Studium Generale Fintech and Innovation in Asia
On 28 May 2021, Binus University held a stadium generale event titled Fintech and Innovation in Asia. The speaker of this event was Julien Ng, Assistant Director of the Monetary Authority of Singapore. The event was moderated by one of our faculty members, Ikhsan Modjo. There were almost 500 participants who joined this session through Zoom meeting. In addition, this event was also broadcast live on YouTube. In this session, the speaker shared his thoughts and experience on the emergence and development of fintech in Asia, and how it leads to innovation. There are three key takeaways from this event:
- Customer first – serving the needs of customers
- Able to adapt – be adaptive and agile to the continuously changing environment
- Partner and collaborate – to grow together
The presentation was followed by Q&A session, where participants asked several questions related to fintech, such as blockchain and data privacy issue.
