International Lecture Week Series – Project Evaluation: Is NPV the Best Method among Others?

As part of international lecture week series, on 19 October 2020, our program conducted a guest lecture session on the topic of NPV (net present value) in evaluating a project. The speaker of this session was Piotr Sieradzan, Ph.D., CFA from Kozminski Executive Business School, Poland. Besides a lecturer, he is also a finance and investment practitioner and currently holds a position of CEO and CIO in an investment company. Some of the topics covered in this session were the investment project lifecycle, the general problems commonly encountered when evaluating investment projects, and the use of NPV to evaluate investment projects.
