The exhibition showcases the transformation of the Japanese\u2019s kimono from the late Edo period in 1615 \u2013 1868 to the early twentieth century. It traces the T-shaped garment that was later adapted to suit the modern lifestyle of Japanese women. A selection of works from John C. Weber Collection of Japanese art explores the artistic exchanges between the traditional kimono and Western fashion.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
