These kind of activities offer a chance for participants to gain substantial experience, showcase skills, analyze and evaluate outcomes and uncover personal aptitude. it also encourages students to adopt innovative techniques and develop their ideas and skills. Here is more detail about the benefits:

Substantial Experience Gain
Very few opportunities in the average student life provide such exposure and realistic outlook towards the competitive nature of real life in such a short span of time as competitions provide. Students recurrently go through a series of brainstorming sessions, rapid problem solving sequences and experience a totally diverse form of learning, which they usually don’t practice in their schools or colleges.

Brighten up student Resume
Achievements through competitions and public academic events can leave great imprints on student resume. They provide proof of student outstanding skills and distinguish them from others. It will put you at an advantage when applying for higher studies or competing in the job market. Hence, it can offer enduring recompenses for students.

Showcase Students Skills
These events provide a great platform to display the knowledge and skills that student have amassed over the years. The experienced panel of jury (reviewer) can provide a critical analysis and feedback of your performance. In this way, it can prove to be a great source of self-evaluation for students and help nurture their experience and skills further.

Competitions and public academic events offer many more relishing rewards for students and the chance of winning competitions can only be improved by honing skills and competing in more and more competitions.

One of evidence that we, Computer Science Program in BINUS International, support our student with these activities is shown by Kotrakona Harinatha Sreeya Reddy (CS batch 2022) that have presented a research paper with the title “Evaluating Extractive Summarization Techniques on News Articles” (authors: Sreeya R.
