On March 10, BINUS UNIVERSITY INTERNATIONAL students held a media industry seminar entitled \u2018Tech Media Talk\u2019 with the theme \u2018From Rockstar to Geek\u2019. The event featured a variety of guest speakers with a musical background who currently work behind the scenes to promote Indonesia\u2019s creative industries. Guests such as Robin Malau from CEO Musikator, Hang Dimas from Langit Data Indonesia, and Irfan Aulia from Massive Music attended.<\/p>\n
Each speaker told the story of their lives and careers, and their highs and lows. They shared many of the valuable experiences which led them to their current career.<\/p>\n
Christine Gneuss, the lecturer who guided the implementation of this event, said that this seminar was not only to support students\u2019 experience and knowledge in organizing an event or seminar, but they are also expected to learn more and gain inspiration from the guest speakers.<\/p>\n
\u201cI want students to be more confident, to meet people, and be inspired, and at the same time I would like people who are really powerful in the media industry in Jakarta to remember them\u201d she said. Christine also mentioned that every student took a role in preparing the seminar and were given the opportunity to interview the speakers so that they could become closer with them.
